La Astrología, con su rica variedad de asociaciones y símbolos, fue también uno de esos campos del saber humano, que no pasó, en absoluto, desapercibido para la inquisitiva mirada de uno de los personajes más relevantes de la Psicología moderna, como se puede considerar a aquél romántico de los abismos interiores del ser humano, que fue, no cabe duda, ese metafórico ‘chamán’ de Occidente, que todos conocemos con el nombre de C.G. Jung. Para Jung, la Astrología significaba un pródigo territorio sapiencial, al que valorar y con el que enriquecer las cuestiones trascendentales derivadas de la naturaleza del tiempo, los arquetipos, la sincronicidad y sus posibles efectos sobre el comportamiento y el destino de los seres humanos.

De la importancia, que, en épocas medievales se daba a la Astrología, tenemos, en esa capitalidad donde terminaron de instalarse definitivamente las antiguas monarquías asturianas, León, uno de los ejemplos más fascinantes y sobresalientes del Arte medieval y por defecto, del Arte Románico en España: el espectacular Zodíaco de San Isidoro de León. Una maravilla, que, junto con las sobresalientes pinturas del Panteón Real y la copa de Doña Urraca, considerada, además, como otro posible Grial o Copa utilizaba por Jesucristo durante la Última Cena -aparte del Grial tradicional de San Juan de la Peña que se conserva en la catedral de Valencia- constituye otro de los elementos inestimables, de nuestro Patrimonio Histórico, Artístico y Cultural.

Astrology, with its rich variety of associations and symbols, was also one of those fields of human knowledge, which did not go unnoticed at all by the inquisitive gaze of one of the most relevant figures in modern Psychology, as can be considered to that romantic of the inner abysses of the human being, who was, without a doubt, that metaphorical 'shaman' of the West, who we all know by the name of C.G. Jung. For Jung, Astrology meant a rich sapiential territory, to value and with which to enrich the transcendental questions derived from the nature of time, archetypes, synchronicity and their possible effects on the behavior and destiny of human beings.

Of the importance that, in medieval times, was given to Astrology, we have, in that capital where the ancient Asturian monarchies finally settled, León, one of the most fascinating and outstanding examples of Medieval Art and by default, of Romanesque Art in Spain: the spectacular Zodiac of San Isidoro de León. A wonder, which, together with the outstanding paintings of the Royal Pantheon and the cup of Doña Urraca, also considered as another possible Grail or Cup used by Jesus Christ during the Last Supper - apart from the traditional Grail of San Juan de la Peña that is preserved in the cathedral of Valencia - constitutes another of the invaluable elements of our Historical, Artistic and Cultural Heritage.
